COMMUNITY MATTERS
Here at Insite we really try and give back wherever possible. For example, we’ve always placed items such as extra materials and tools on a local community app as giveaways and tried to help out where we can. However, in light of the current economic situation, in recent months we’ve felt the need to step up our community involvement with a number of sponsorships and donations.
Firstly, we have recently made a donation to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and made our sustainable signage available to their events team. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity raises money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. Donations to the Charity help with the following: –
– Support life-saving research – including funding clinical trials that give patients at the hospital, across the UK and around the world access to the latest breakthrough drugs.
– Offer patients world leading treatment and care – delivering tailored and personalised treatment, which cares for the whole person, not just their illness.
– Invest in state of the art equipment – from the latest in robotic surgery, to improved cancer imaging to ensure more effective and efficient diagnosis and treatment.
– Fund modern patient environments – allowing the hospital to build new facilities and refurbish existing ones, so that so patients are cared for in the most welcoming, dignified and peaceful environments.
Secondly, Insite are proud to have helped out the The Wildlife Aid Foundation here in Leatherhead. The foundation was created by Simon Cowell MBE, the much-loved face of the TV series ‘Wildlife SOS’. Simon has devoted his life to saving wild animals and hundreds of thousands have been given a second chance thanks to his compassion and dedication. Tragically, he was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer and for him there will be no second chances. Insite will continue to offer support to this wonderful Foundation in the hope that it helps protect Simon’s legacy and the lives of generations of wildlife to come.
